Eid al-Adha

This evening is the start of Eid al-Adha (EED al-adha) also referred to the “Festival of Sacrifice”

This is one of the two major Islamic holidays which honor’s Ibrahim’s devotion to God by the willingness to sacrifice his son for God. Our Muslim community members may celebrate this holiday by eating religiously acceptable meat and dividing the meat equally among themselves, the poor, and friends and neighbors. You may say “Happy Eid” to your Muslim classmates and/or neighbors.
