Today we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday honoring the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., civil rights leader and visionary. Dr. King dedicated his life to nonviolent activism in pursuit of racial justice and equality for all. Many communities observe this day through service, reflection, and community events.
