Sharing Stories

The Sharon Pluralism Network (SPN) in co-facilitation with the Sharon Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Committee (DEIC) is hosting a series called “Sharing Our Stories, Building Community”. The goal is to help bring our community closer together by building and strengthening relationships among people who live, work and worship in our Sharon community. Through the sharing of our individual stories we hope to increase trust, compassion and empathy, as we recognize the humanity in one another and our commonalities.

Community Speak Out
Community Members will be able to recognize the ways in which the Sharon community is divided and also how those divisions affect the interactions between everyone (youth, adults, neighbors, and community leaders). They will explore what is working and what is not in terms of community connections and climate. Participants will work as a group to find ways to create concrete things that they can do with the information they have discussed over the day. They will identify the ways in which Sharon can be different, the ways in which people must change and their personal role in the change.

Collaborate and Create: A Gathering of Community Leaders in Sharon

We invite you to join us for an evening dedicated to collaborating and creating together. This gathering will focus on strengthening partnerships between organizations, enhancing existing events, and working collectively to bring new events to life.

To make the most of our time together, we encourage you to come prepared to:

  • Share events your organization currently hosts that could benefit from collaboration with other community groups.

  • Discuss new event ideas and explore opportunities to co-create meaningful experiences with fellow organizations.

By coming together, we not only strengthen our individual efforts but also build a more connected, engaged, and empowered community. We look forward to your participation and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish—together.  For more details please email Margi Mitlin
