Yom Kippur

September 20

Yom Kippur (yaam kuh·poor), starts at sundown today. This is the Jewish Day of Atonement — this day ends the 10 days of repentance. Our Jewish community members may observe this holiday by gathering before sundown to have a family meal, followed by a day of fast, attending religious worship and refraining from work and school. The fast ends at sundown with a festive meal with family and friends. The fast traditionally lasts 25 hours. September 20–21, 2026
