Luna is a therapy dog for the Sharon Middle School (SMS) Guidance Department. Luna was introduced to support students by providing comfort and emotional regulation. She is a key part of the school’s efforts to enhance student well-being. Luna celebrated her first birthday around October 2025 and is actively involved in school activities. Role: As part of the SMS guidance department, Luna acts as a therapy dog, helping
students with social, emotional, and anxiety-related needs. Activities: She is active within the school community, even participating in school spirit activities like celebrating the AFC championship. Significance: Therapy dogs like Luna are increasingly common in schools to provide a calming presence and support, particularly in navigating stress.
