Hannukah

Hanukkah (Ḥănukā) is the Jewish Festival of Lights that commemorates the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem after the Jewish people regained control of the area from the Greeks in 168 BC. Hanukkah is celebrated for 8 nights, with a nightly lighting of the menorah candles, exchanging of gifts and festive meals. You may say, “Happy Hanukkah” to your classmates and/or neighbors that observe. December 4 – December 12, 2026
