Samhain (saa-wn). This is a Celtic holiday that marks the end of the Celtic year and the beginning of the dark, cold winter. It is said that on the night of Samhain that ghosts and the dead roamed the earth. This is celebrated by children dressing up in costumes and going from house to house “trick or treating” for candy.
