Diwali

Evening is the start of Diwali (duh·vaa·lee), a holiday with Hindu origins in several countries, including India. Diwali is also known as the festival of lights which celebrates victory of light over darkness, and is observed with festive meals, gift exchanges and fireworks. You may say “Shubh Diwali” or “Wishing you a bright and happy Diwali” to your classmates and/or neighbors that observe. November 8, 2026.
