About the Discover Series

The Discover Series is a recurring program from the Town of Sharon Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (DEIC) that celebrates the cultures, traditions, and communities that make our town unique. Each event is a partnership between the DEIC and Sharon residents who represent their own culture and heritage.

Every event is dedicated to a single culture. That gives attendees room to explore in depth, ask questions, and learn about their neighbors’ traditions. Each one includes storytelling, arts and crafts, food sampling, and hands-on activities, with experiences for adults and for our youngest guests.

About Discover Italy

Our first event invites you to spend an evening in Italy without leaving Sharon. Sharon residents will share the food, games, language and traditions they grew up with and still celebrate. Roll out pasta, decorate a Venetian mask, try a hand of Scopa, learn a few Italian phrases, and sample Italian treats with your neighbors
