Vesak

Today is Vesak (Vee-sak) Day, which is the most sacred Buddhist holiday. This day is when the Buddha was born, the day he attained enlightenment and the day he passed away. Our Buddhists community members may celebrate Vesak Day by decorating their temples with flowers and decorations; raising the buddhist flag; singing religious songs; participate in charity work and engage in acts of kindness. You may say “Happy Vesak” to your classmates and/or neighbors that observe.
