SUMMARY:Gift Wrapping for Gifts of Hope Program
DESCRIPTION:Every year the Rotary Club of Sharon and the Gifts of Hope Program supports local families during the Holiday year end period. In years past the program has supported up to 80 local families. \n \nWe accept unwrapped new toys and our collection boxes are set up at the Public Safety Building  213 South Main Street Sharon MA or at the American Legion at 727 South Main St. Sharon.\n \nBeyond the generous donations our community members share\, the program also welcomes the assistance of volunteers. It is a great\, cost-free way to contribute and support others in our own community.\n \nUpcoming volunteer opportunities include the toy sorting effort on Friday 19 DEC 2025 at 10:00 a.m. This is when we sort the toys by age for wrapping. Then on the same date\, later in the evening at 6 p.m. we gather again to wrap the toys. Location is the American Legion Post 106 at 727 South Main St.\n \nThank You to the Police and Fire Departments and also the American Legion for sharing their space with us.\n \nIf you would like to help with this fun way to contribute\, please message GOH Chair Deb Shostek (debshos@comcast.net) us or just show up! \n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Sharon Triathlon
DESCRIPTION:The annual Sharon Triathlon – Sunday\, August 10. \nSharon Rotary has been volunteering for this event for many years – our members (along with family and friends) help the race organizers with the registration process early that morning and then we serve as guides along the race route for the runners and cyclists. It is a lot of fun\, and a wonderful way to take part in this really amazing community event. \nWe are looking for another 6+ volunteers to help out that morning – bring your kids\, bring your friends\, they can be part of the process! \nDetails: Shift 1: This shift starts at 5:45 am at the Grand Stand at Memorial Beach (Lake Massapoag). It’s early\, but it’s exciting to see all the participants getting ready for the race! Shift 2: At 7:00 am we will be utilized along the bike route to help guide the bikers as they manage the course. \nPlease consider staying for both but it’s perfectly alright if you can only help with one area. Thank you! \nFor more information\, please contact: Karen Sprung (karensprung@gmail.com)
