Skills for Engaging in Difficult Conversations

Sponsored by the Sharon Pluralism Network, the free workshop, ‘Skills for Engaging in Difficult Conversations’, was held at the Public Safety Building in Sharon on November 10, 2019. SPN invited a former Sharon resident and well-known interfaith and community advocate, Janet Penn, to lead this workshop. The goal of this workshop was for participants to learn to ‘be open to discovering common values that can help us find common ground, despite our differences… and develop or enhance concrete skills that promote respectful engagement in difficult conversations’. It was attended by members of the Sharon’s diverse community.
